The Animals Have Been My Greatest Teachers

‘Winston and Chuchhill’ mixed media on paper -were a commissioned portrait

Interestingly the Animals give me the grace to learn from them. I watch them and I speak to them, I ask them questions and I can hear their answers in my head, or they send me a picture or I can feel what they are saying to me from a nuance, a movement or gesture in their face or in their body.

But mainly and most of all I can feel what they are saying from the heart felt connection that puts both of us here on Earth. All of us God’s Children or how ever you call your higher power. We are all here on Earth together to understand one another, to learn from one another and to learn to love first ourselves and then each other.

And that is what the  Animals have to teach us how to love one another. If you approach an Animal with love in your heart. You will begin to understand them and feel what they are feeling and what they are thinking and they you.

If you approach an Animal with fear in your heart. They will feel your fear and uncertainty from you about them and they will put up their shields and go into offence mode or even defence mode depending on how fearful you are feeling.

Because if you are feeling to afraid you are already thinking of an attach plan. And they know it. And they are feeling the need to protect themselves.
